Meet Cantice

More than just an academic professional, I’m a married woman and a mother of four. My family is central in my life and these relationships are the ones I hope to nurture and grow for years to come. My husband and I met in college during a street party called Freaknik (ask me about the story one day). We were members of separate campus ministries that came together to tell others about Jesus during Freaknik. This Jesus sharing activity represented a turn in my life as the year before I had participated in Freaknik as a partyer. We didn’t start dating until years later, and we married after I earned a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics and TESOL. Marrying my husband is one of the reasons I love baseball (Go Braves!) since before I met him I had never watched a game. Basketball was the sport I loved to watch and play. I also played volleyball in college. I’m a daughter, a sister, an auntie, a friend and a colleague. I’m a voter, a church volunteer, a prayer team member, a small groups member, an Entrusted Women member, a half-marathon runner, a health and fitness aficionado, y una habladora del español, a conference presenter, a research mentor, a friendly neighbor and more. I’m  also eager to meet you and to get to know you better.

Meet my co-author

Joshua Greene is my oldest son. After starting college at a large public university in Atlanta, Georgia, Joshua transferred to Shorter University, a Christian college in Rome, Georgia. God redirected his goals to focus on Communications and Christian Studies. At Shorter University Joshua played on the JV basketball team and now serves as an assistant coach. Joshua is pursuing a college pastor position, and he plans to start a non-profit ministry serving youth through sports while teaching them the gospel.
